Videos for non-profits

I love storytelling – especially when the story is about a person or organization that is doing good in the world.  These are videos which both touch an emotional cord and tell the stories of the work these organizations do.

O’hana Ola O Kahumana provides transitional housing and education for families on the Wai’anae coast of Hawaii.  I both shot and edited this piece.

Motion Graphics

A short sampling of some Motion Graphics projects I’ve done in both After Effects and in Apple’s Motion.

Lead / Sole animator for this piece about education finance reform. The client wanted a clean iconic piece that kep their message simple and accessible. Through several discussions I came up with the visual elements to represent their message, storyboarded the piece and animated in After Effects.

I acted as Assistant Producer and Lead Graphics Artist on this educational piece about writing.

Short Film / Doc

The Wind In His Face from Bow Jones on Vimeo.

I put this montage together from footage that I shot in both India and Nepal. The music is call “Bansee Beat” by Animal Collective. Video was shot on a Canon HV20

I shot this footage while visiting Lumbini, Nepal in December 2007. There happened to be a massive prayer for peace gathering of Buddhist monks. The music is a song called, “Loch Raven” by Animal Collective. I used a Canon HV20.

This is a Nasturtium that I shot over the course of a few days. This video acted as the an introduction piece in my video book project, “receive”. Music by Boards of Canada
